Hi aguai,

create in your form one filed from type Select - Dynamic.Generally I use Query: Free:

SELECT title text, id value FROM #__categories WHERE extension = 'com_content' ORDER BY title

Storage: standard | article | catid

Multiple: No
you can set as default-value now

Remark: For a SearchForm:
with Button 3 (Match + Stage) in your form (SearchForm) you have to choose Words | Any Words exact

best regards

thanks for all reply!

In fact, you mentioned above, I know. but is not my answer. First, your category list of methods is no hierarchy; Also, I just want to know why this is my operator error? Or supposed to be like this?

Hi aguai,

Normally, you have all categories with the field type "Jform Category" in form content or in search form.
Can you sahre with us a link to your website?
