Calculation rules made from hidden fields does not work, is it a bug or not?

I experienced the same. When trying to use values from hidden fields for computation, it wouldn't work. Bug or feature?

I ended up buying the Code Pack and doing my computations in custom jQuery Code that I included with the "Code - JS" field. This works perfectly fine.

Thank you for your reply, but I think the rules for calculating work without pack code. I think there must be a bug in the rules for calculating the hidden fields.
Not being an experienced programmer, I could not effectively use this plugin package unfortunately.

any response from author(s)? many fields are hidden in our forms - would be nice to have computation working !
