I need a search form that displays options (such as countries) as checkboxes. In the content types being searched, the fields I need to query are dropdowns.
How do I make the dropdown fields from the content type display as checkboxes in the search form?

Hi Joem,
You can use a Select Dynamic field (dropdown) with the multiple option set to yes. Then you can select multiple items.
There will be a new Select Dynamic Checkbox field available soon!

A reply is always helpful however the specific answer not so much in this case. I really need my Search Form fields to look and behave a little different than the Content Type form. It would be great if I could create a new field type for searching/querying it's relative in the input side... Would SD Databaser plugin work? I just don't understand the data structure enough to know. I'll take a stab at it and report back.

I guess I was under the impression that you wanted to select multiple values from your dropdown (as checkboxes) - from a column in a table. Well we dont have checkboxes yet, but you can select multiple values. Perhaps you are meaning the Cascade Dynamic?
SD Databaser is a typography plugin designed to work with the Intro and Content - not forms.
You can develop your own plugins with the SEBLOD Developer.

I just realized that (Databaser is a typo plugin). Cascade Dynamic is pretty cool but not graphically aligned with design requirements. Basically the search form is a list of checkbox options for planning a vacation. The user selects what they want and Seblod is to return the list of trips... in theory. Unfortunately the Content Types are already built and content loaded. I don't think there is a way to easy convert my drop downs fields into checkboxes without redoing everything? (insert miracle here)
