I have a huge problem configuring the submit button for a frontend form. What i want to achive is loading the content view in the very same position then the form. So i have a frontend form in a menu item, lets say itemid=123. Then i just want to close the form after submit and show the generated content-type.

I always be redirected to homepage after submit. I tried all all the button settings and template configuration but its impossible to me to show content after submit at the same position in my site.

I tried seb_one and seb_minima but it doest make a difference.

The problem occurs on a multi-page site so thats maybe the problem.

Is it possible to add the itemid to the contentview in a variable. So open contentview after submit and add ?itemid=123

Hi yuberlin

Try in the "Submit Button" settings use the option "Task -> Save & View" (Screenshot).

Hope this will solve your problem.

Best regards

Vio

Hi yuberlin,

Are you using Joomla SEF URLs and URL rewriting?

Vio's screenshot there should solve your issue. As well as changing the configuration settings of your content type to go to the redirection that you want.

Remember, your content must be PUBLISHED for you to be able to view it. Maybe your form is making it unpublished, and therefore you can't access the content view?

Just some thoughts for troubleshooting...
