Hi

I have a content type with a groupx field witch has two fields (an image field  and a text field). Then I have a search&list type searching within my Content type and I need to be able to search from my groupX text field but I can´t make it works. I have this text field in the serach tab an set the "+" to the groupX collection but it doesn´t work, I have no results Does any body knows how to do it?

Thanks

Hello Klas

Sorry but I have read all the tutorials and post about this issue and I can't make my search works.

- My child Content Type "related-articles" has 4 dynamic cascade fields, one of them saves an article id. All those fields have the storage to custom | article | field_groupX_name[childfield_fieldname].

- My parent Content type has a groupX field with storage  custom | article | field_groupX_name and it save all the data ok.

- My Search Type has the child content type field that saves the article id: "childfield_articleid", the match option is set to "exact" and in the "+" the collection is set to "related-articles". But the search has no results.

I need this search type in a list module to display related articles to the one is on the screen so that child field has to have the live variable option to "url" -> "id".

What I'm doing wrong??

Thanks a lot

Collection is your parent groupx fields name field_groupX_name, not "related-articles" (unless related-articles is iddeed your groupX field).

Yes my collection name (that is the name of my child content type) is "related-articles" and is in the list of  groupX match + options

Collection  is parent (gropux) fields name, not child content type

Yes, I know, thats what I meant. My child content type and my groupX field have the same name.

First enable debugging in the search type and copy query that will show to here.

Also please post screenshots of your field configurations, otherwise I'm guessing blind here.
