In the tutorial of the plugin Search Query it says: "Add the SEBLOD Core field called "CCK Storage Location" to your search form, and set the live value to "free"" However I cannot find this field. It seems to be not present.

The field is there. You'll find it in the CORE folder. The name of the field is "cck_storage_location". If you don't find it, you can create your own one (storage: standard->free->strorage_location, table: #__cck_core). It can be a simple input field with the live value set "free".
