Hello Seblod-Friends from all over the world,
I looooooooooove
seblod and I do nearly all my projects only with it. For me it's THE
ultimate tool that made my websites something special for the customer.
And provisnd this special services made me also get special and get
customers from around europe. Many of them mainly coming because of my
videos on youtube and my knowledge about Seblod (and I think many of you
do knwo much much more hahaha).
So but thats not the point...
Weeks
ago a client asked me to do a cost calculator...beeing in a hurry a
this moment, made me look just take a short look on this project. Since
I'm using seblod sometimes I - resp. my brain :-) thinks - with Seblod I
can do anything, even making iron to gold...
And so I wasn't
carefully enough and got a job which normally should be no problem, but
the goal was not to make a standalone calculator...the customer wanted
and needed it in his Seblod.
So no way back, I Had to use
Seblod....but soon I realized with the normal fields and available
plugins I won't get ready....but maybe I forgot something? Maybe I could
have achieved the solution easier? So let me know , if you habe an
answer for this...

for talking this long, if you are not interested in my thoughts and
explanations just skip the tooooo boring passages and look into the
plugin itself on front- and backend.
It was my first plugin and so
I'm a bit nervous, the main point is, that under some circumstances
people can use my plugin, but what if it not works like they want???
I
shared it here and in the german seblod forums, because many of the
things I know, I know from the net - without paying for it. So I would
say my time of just taking is over, time to spend somewhat back.
Last
year I posted my Songwriter-Machine :-) http://songwriter-toolkit.com, a
tool with which you can design some chord progressions, based on
musical theory and so the results you'll geht will be always good
sounding cause of their mathematical behave.
Also this "Coding-Test"
on my own, I did at first for myself. I learned the musical theory
basics a last year and then I had the idea to make a bit of code that
puts out some nice sounding tunes.
I'ts programming looks like
hell...I knew jQuery there, but I couldN't use it because I don't wanted
to learn it also. So i made evertyhing from PHP with unbelievable long
multiple arrays with uncounted levels, it was so complex and noobie
coded, that I today don't understand the most of myself.
But what I
wanted to say: It was a nice feelling when getting the first email. I
forgot the toolkit the last months, because I did so much, that there
was no time for writing songs and then got am mail who send me a song
based on the choose of my toolkit.
So for sure: The chord
progression he got is not from my brain, so in fact, it's not my work to
celebrate, it's the theoretical basics to celebrate :-)
But I was proud knowing not to be the only one using my tool :-)
And it felt good give something, in this case very useful, back.

Thank you for sharing your plugin with the seblod community, I am sure it will be useful for my future projects.
I tried watching your video and wow it is really long :)) I hope you write a concise tutorial about how to use this plugin when you have time.

Sure, I'll make that...four weeks ago, when I started this project, I began recording during development and commented everything. But, after I finished my project the first time, I realized that I did in fact a little programming exercise, not more.
So my videos are completely useless :-)
No I'm almost fnished (sure, there are many options to make the plugin better) and the Ajaxxer does his job, so I have to take a short break.
Never expected that it could be hard like this...but after a few days investigating and searching I lost my focus or my brain :-)
Normally people stop at this point and choose another option, but at this point I was sitting in my room since 6 days and trying and so I thought, that it wouldn't be cool to stop here and give it up. Coz' then all the time I invested before was just for the gargabe can.
Keep in mind, that first I learned how to make your own plugins only because I needed a field which can calculate an age. And after finishing this - I really thought this would be the hardest part at the job - I checked, that the Age Plugin is in case very useful, but his part in this job goes to zero.
Maybe for someone it must be hard to understand what I did the last weeks: No more washing myself, no more sleeping..drugs, caffine to stay as long as the computer as i could.
Maybe thats the point why I talked and talked and talked in the video.....sry for that :-) But I made it, short after putting MY personal finished version online.
It was maybe a good feeling, feeling lucky and in the last 4 weeks I did't spoke much (and normally I'm talking continuosly) So sorry for maybe disturbing but I had to do this to feel better myself after :-))))))))
About the Ajaxxer: Actual it is very high commendated, but only in german language. Today I translated the manual, after a short break I'll try to translate the comments in PHP also, so that perhaps everyone can use and modify the plugin.
And also I will start from new with my planned series I made before :-) now I know what I have to tell my users.
I think I will record one video only for the "end" customer how to use this plugin and also another one - or a series for people
- who want to learn doing it on themselves
- want to get in touch more deeper with Seblod
- or the developing guys, who can read my code without my explanations for sure, but time is money and I thought maybe it would be more effective if I gave a special video to everyone, there needn't talk about the plugin use in Backend, I would only talk on the code I used, so that hopefully my clips could help also the special guys :-)
