Hi to all,

I know Seblod manage Introtext and Fulltext with two separate tabs, but I'm crazying for this issue: when I create and/or edit a Seblod article the wysiwyg is shown only below the "Introtext" title, under the "fulltext" title there is no any wysiwyg!

I look around for suggestion, but after 2 days I found nothing. No complete tutorial on it, only this "readmore ...and pagebreak" small tip.

I tried looking for any joomla/seblod options without success.

Please, What am I missing ?!?

Hello,

I know Seblod manage Introtext and Fulltext with two separate tabs

Not with two tabs, but with two differents wysiwyg fields.

By default, the fulltext field don't display directly the wysiwyg, but a button to open the wysiwyg in a modal box. You can change that in the fulltext field configuration.

Now, the question is where to use those two fields ?

In List and Search, you can use Introtext field and add a Freetext field with a link on it (option 2), to link to the content view of the content type. Then in this content view, you can add intro text field an fulltext field, or only fulltext field. It's like you want, you can manage all views.

Hope it help.

Regards.

Hi Lionel,

  • 1 in first many thanks for Support. Sorry if I confuse "tabs" with "wysiwyg fields" (may be I missunderstood the words used by Seb on this topic).
  • 2 "By default, the fulltext field don't display directly the wysiwyg, but a button to open the wysiwyg in a modal box." Many Thanks, so that's the work of "Editor" button at the right of "Fulltext". (I was sure to tested it without success, but i tried again and now it's working).
  • 3 "You can change that in the fulltext field configuration": Please where and how exactly ?
  • 4 "where to use those two fields ?": I think what I'm looking for is too simple: Just have a "small left image + Introtext" in a Blog list view for Guests, while have a "big centered image + fulltext" for Registered users when open the article. Is there a way to do it ? (It seem that when I open a Seblod Article I can manage just one generic access level).
Please, there are "pieces of tutorials" around here in Seblod and on net and now I'm too confused now, Can you help me on?:

  • Is this "readmore ...and pagebreak" small tip still valid ? If I understood well I have to go in Joomla configuration and hide the read more and pagebreak buttons, then go in the extension > plugins and unpublish the pagebreak plugin, Is it right?
  • Is it better to work having "Introtext" aaa in list view and "fulltext" aaabbb on article view OR having "Introtext" aaa in list view and "Introtext"+"Fulltext" aaa+bbb on article view ?
  • How to have a "Read More" button in Blog list view using Seblod Article ?
Thank you again!

Hi Lionel,

I continue to check and these are still my dubts, Can you help me with your experiences ? :

  • You say "You can change that in the fulltext field configuration": Please where and how exactly ?
  • looking for: have a "small left image + Introtext" in a Blog list view for Guests, while have a "big centered image + fulltext" for Registered users when open the article (If I'm not logged with the Introtext and the "You have to login to view the entire article).
Trying to understand Seblod Article, if I understood, seem that it thought to work as: "Introtext" aaa in list view and "Introtext"+"Fulltext" aaa+bbb on article view.
Infact in Seblod Article > Content we have "Article Introtext" and "Article Fulltext", in option 4 I can change the Access Level and, for example, reserve "Article Fulltext" for Registered. In this way the rule is for all the Seblod Articles.
I cannot find a way to set it Article by Article. Into the Article I can only set a global Article access level.
So, please, what is a solution ?
  • How to have a "Read More" button in Blog list view using Seblod Article ? If I understood answering me about "List and Search" Seblod Feature you mean that I have to use that instead the joomla default Category Blog view, am I right ?
  • Is this "readmore ...and pagebreak" small tip still valid ? If I understood well I have to go in Joomla configuration and hide the read more and pagebreak buttons, then go in the extension > plugins and unpublish the pagebreak plugin, Is it right?
Thank you again for help!

Hello,

You say "You can change that in the fulltext field configuration": Please where and how exactly ?

In the Wysiwyg field configuration you have the parameter "Location". Set it to "default" will display the editor directly in the page.

Trying to understand Seblod Article, if I understood, seem that it thought to work as: "Introtext" aaa in list view and "Introtext"+"Fulltext" aaa+bbb on article view.

SEBLOD Article, like any SEBLOD content type, are fully customizable.

In the configuration of the content type:

  • Intro View: this view is used when you use "Joomla List", like "List all Categories", "Category Blog", ....
  • Content View: the view which is displayed on "Single Article" or after a read more.

in each view, you can put all field you need. It's you that you choose wht you want to display. If you put the field "Fulltext" in the intro view, you will see the fulltext in this view.

How to have a "Read More" button in Blog list view using Seblod Article ? If I understood answering me about "List and Search" Seblod Feature you mean that I have to use that instead the joomla default Category Blog view, am I right ?

Yes, it's more flexible and customizable.

To create a blog view of articles, use the Seb_blog template in a SEBLOD Search&List . Then in the tab "Item" of th.ise Search&List, you put all fields you want (like image with a small size(option 3 typo image on image field), intro text and a readmore button(field freetext + option 2 - link on view content))

Is this "readmore ...and pagebreak" small tip still valid ? If I understood well I have to go in Joomla configuration and hide the read more and pagebreak buttons, then go in the extension > plugins and unpublish the pagebreak plugin, Is it right?

You don't need to do any thing. Simply not use Joomla List.

I mark this topic as solved. Thanks Lionel.

But, hooping can be useful, I want explain why I asked to change the "fulltext field don't display directly the wysiwyg, but a button to open the wysiwyg in a modal box" displaying it "directly" in the page.

I'm using JCE and it open a pop up to insert an image (for example), so, if the fulltext wysiwyg is opened in modal box, when I try to insert an image the pop up is opened, but I can't scroll into it. The scrolling bar isn't shown.
I don't know if it's a Seblod and/or JCE "bug".
Anyway for me is more readable displaying all directly in the page.
