Hello

I never used them but on a new project I tried to extend the categories as I extented articles or users.

However I can't fully master the category content view .

from a SEBLOD list on the categories, in the item tab I put a SEE /  VIEW plugin on the category title. The problem is that instead of staying in com_cck I switch to com_content with the native Joomla category display. Hence I can't master the way the category is displayed

What did I forget please ?

thanks

Hi Cyril,

What are you trying to accomplish in your category view? Do you want to show a list of articles from that category? Or something else? What sort of link are you applying to the category title? Also, remember you can override the Joomla layout of the default categories list view by using the Intro view in SEBLOD.

Cheers,

Hi James

I simply wanted to test what the CONTENT tab could mean for a category content type. I discover that it doesn't work as article content types since whatever fields you put in the content tab you still have the standard Joomla categoy view: the list of the articles of this category.

I hoped we could fully decide what this content view could display just by adding fields as we do for articles and users

thanks

Hi Cyril,

I think you want to go to the Joomla plugin manager and go to "CCK Storage Location - Joomla! Category" plugin. Then experiment with some of the settings there. At the bottom there are some settings for SEBLOD to use the Category Content view, but you may have to to experiment a bit to get it right. I hope this helps.
