Hi everyone!

Did you know that it's possible to use a CSS Class as a selector for your computation rules, instead of the field alias? This is really useful if you're trying to calculate values in a Field X or Group X field. Check out the how-to on my blog:

Have a great weekend.

Hi James,

This is great tip! Thank you.

I found that this works if I have a GroupX with default 3 items open (for example)

The field will add up the relevant 3 [OPEN] fields with classes set.

However when I click the + sign to add another row in the GroupX fields the computation field does not add up the field value entered in the newly opened row as it should. Hope that makes sense?

Hi there,

That's strange.. are you working on the latest SEBLOD and Joomla? I can confirm it works.. you can see an example here on the right hand side: http://movemegroup.com.au/shop

Cheers,

James
