Hi there,

I'm new to seblod and can see the potential for amazing things so thanks for creating such a fantastic product!

I've managed to create my form and by default my new article is getting created with the status unpublished which is what I want. However Im wondering if I can automatically send an email on form submission to my site admin asking them to publish the article once they've had a look over it.

Is this possible? I'm sure it is, just need some pointers to get me going in the right direction :)

Thanks,
Rowan

Hi Rowan,

Welcome to SEBLOD!

What you need to use is the "Email" field. If you create a new field in your Admin form and make it Type > Email, you will see a bunch of settings for sending through an email.

  • Make sure "Send Email" is set to Always
  • You can specify who the email is "from" (you can choose to grab a value from the field, or just have a static email address that the emails will be "Sent from"
  • You can use the Message Editor for the body text of your email.
  • If you want to include the value of one your fields in the body text of your email, add it by placing the field name in between hashes like this: #name_of_field#
I hope this helps.

Ah, yep that makes sense.

Thanks for all your work on those videos as well, it was nice hearing an aussie accent! Look forward to seeing some more. I suspect this might be the first of many seblod questions, its certainly got loads of potential, now I'ves just to work out how to unlock it all!
