Hello, i had two bugs after update to 3.3.4 - first one was that the custom user profile was gone. I recreated the menulink and then the custom userfields appeared again, thankfully. But then i made a mistake by deleting some fields from the Form and Content Type User. Instead of adding them again i wanted to restore an older version. After restoring ALL fields were gone. It didn´t helped to restore the version before the restore - the fields were gone forever...
Regards,
Elisa

Hi Elisa,

What versions of Joomla/SEBLOD did you upgrade from?

Do you mean that the menu to the user profile (Site Forme) was gone?

What and how did you backup/restore?

Thanks,

Randy

Hello Randy,
I use Joomla 3.3.0 and upgraded from Seblod 3.3.3 to 3.3.4 - The custom fields that i created in seblod were gone in the frontend, there only was the standard profile page from joomla. After recreating the menu item it was back again. And as i made a restore from another reason in backend (by picking an older version directly in seblod) all fields were gone (in each tab). I made a local restore from akeeba on my computer and restored the fields manually...

Regards,
Elisa

Hi Elisa,

Of course it is good to make a backup before any upgrade with something like Akeeba.

While you are developing your apps, you might want to save your versions more often.  You can control the Content Type backups in SEBLOD in Global Configurations:
Global Configurations > SEBLOD > Component > Automatic Versions.

After your restoration, have you tried to upgrade back to 3.3.4?

thanks,

Randy

Hi Randy, I didn´t downgrade from 3.3.4 For restoring the fields i just restored an akeeba backup locally as a reference and restored the fields manually in the newer version. I couldn´t use any Content Type Backups/Version of the App because everywhere all fields were gone in Seblod 3.3.4. Hope i could explain it now better.

Hi Elisa,

I also get the same results.  You must rebuild the content type.  No need to recreate the fields, but you need to add them to the content type again/rebuild conditionals, live values etc...

Please add this issue to the Tracker.

thanks,

Randy
