Hi joem,
Changing the storage types midstream is a bad thing as you are probably well aware of or found out! I seem to remember
Simon Dowdles talking about how important it is to invest the time upfront to map out how your content types should be stored. But that is hard to do if you are learning mode. I have had to rebuild several sites after finding myself in the "corner".
Depending on the data that you have entered, you can look at exporting your data using phpMyAdmin or
SEBLOD Exporter, and then importing it back in to your new content type (phpMyAdmin or
SEBLOD Importer).
If you are rebuilding a site, and you do have some good content types that you are satisfied with, don't forget that you can export them and import them back into your new site. What it gets down to, is what is faster, trying to export/import or entering all the data again. If you are building a complicated site, and need further assistance consider contacting
Ocotpoos Directly.
Hope that helps,
Randy
