Hello Seblod people!

I am sure this can be done with Seblod, but would like some pointers on how to get going (I played with Seblod a couple of versions ago, but for many reasons my website project died and I have not been back for many many months) so please forgive the nooby questions....

What i want to do is as i create an article is select weblinks stored in Joomla! weblink directory to show at the bottom of my article. I would like the choice of selecting multiple links or selecting a category to show a set number of results from.

I would also like to add internal links  - related articles in the same section, but i think this is a different issue to the weblinks.

Thanks for any comments or pointers on how to get going with this.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

Welcome back to the SEBLOD forums! While much of the basics of SEBLOD remains the same, there have been quite a few changes around here. It would be useful to check out the manuals section if you haven't already. We also have a demo and products section which might help you with your projects.

You can do what you want by using a Select Dynamic Field (my_weblinks) to select from the weblinks table.

table: #__weblinks

Options name: url

Options value: id

If you want to have more than one you can use a fieldX using your (my_weblinks) for the field.

For your internal links, the Related field will work - you might also solve your issue with a search and list type - depending on what you are trying to do.

hope that helps,

Randy
