i am interested in buying docman for file easy file presentation and search. Is docman compatible with wysiwyg editor in seblod? I want to create wysiwyg editor fields in seblod where a user can link files from docman. Thank you in advance

@Darkidas,

I am not a member of the Seblod development team. But I can safely say from what I know about the inner workings of Seblod that you can use any other extension's editor buttons within the WYSIWYG editor together with seblod.

Seblod doesn't change the way that data that you input with a WYSIWYG editor is saved to the Database. Only the place where it gets saved in the DB is changed by Seblod.

So yes, you should be able to use Docman's Editor button to insert links to downloadable files.

But to be 100% sure, you should ask in the Docman forum if their extension can be used together with Seblod.

Thank you for your answer.
I have contacted docman and they said that if the Seblod editor supports the Joomla editor plugins then it will work. And then suggested me to ask in Seblod forums. From my experience till now (i am pretty new with Seblod) i found out that the WYSIWYG editor field type in Seblod does not have all the functionality that the core one has (tiny MCE). For example the standard core editor has 2 more buttons at the end (page break, readmore) and i have installed one more for file attachments that in Seblod "editor version" they are not there. So my thought is that there might be some coding needed or am i doing something wrong?

I have been using Seblod for the last 3 years now and I was not aware that Seblod is using their own editor. I think you got something wrong there.

You can still use whatever editor you want. The buttons for pagebreak readmore are editor plugins and can be activated/deactivated through Joomla backend under extensions/plugins type "xtd-editor".

readmore editor button is useless when working with Seblod because the concept is different and you can easily setup your own readmore button. There are topics covering that in the forum here and in the old V2 forum.

Thank you again for your answer. My point is not to use the functionality of the readmore button rather than make it appear so i can understand how that works and if i am doing something wrong. It is enabled but it does not appear in Seblod content types. Article,image button is there but not readmore/pagebreak. Can you give me an example extension/plugin that works with the Seblod editor(adds a button that does something) so i can check it out? Thank you

Right off of my had I don't know an extension with extra editor button that I have been using together with Seblod, sorry.

The concept of readmore in Seblod is different from standard Joomla install.

See more about it here and here and here.

I also found a youtube video.

Those links were a bit helpful but there is a problem. I cannot find the Joomla plugin (button) field type anywhere in Seblod 3. Any idea how to find it? Thank you

There is no field type editor button in Seblod.

You can configure the editor buttons in Extension->Plugin Manager. There you select Type: editors-xtd.
