Hi all,
I'm a newbie to seblod and quite amazed to see its potential, at the same time maybe a bit overwhelmed by all the possibilities.
My intention with seblod is to make a form that allows one to download a pdf only after leaving a name and e-mail address. Ideally the e-mail address would automatically feed into acymailer. And a check if the e-mail address is valid would also be appreciated.
I have not been able to find a tutorial on this topic, so hoping any of you can be of more help.

Hello Marteen,
I have never done this before but maybe you can do it like the way below:
Create subscription form as an SEBLOD form.
Create a page with the download button as an SEBLOD Article, but put the permission to registered users only.
Create a shadow menu pointed to that article (not visible on the frontend)
In the form you can choose where the to go after the submission - choose the menupoint of the shadow menu to lead the user to the article page.
So the user will come automatically to the downloadpage.
This is what should happen:
The user fills out the form and submit it. In this case the user will be automatically registered and becomes the status "registered user". With the acymailing plugin you can automatically add registered users to the newsletter list.
After he has pushed the submit button and everything works fine he will be logged in and gets to the page with the download button.
This is only theoretical but you can use it as a hint to work on.

Welcome to the SEBLOD forums.
To truly test the email, you need to use the regular Joomla validation process which forces the user to register and verify their email address. If you want to test that a field is indeed in an email format you can add an email validation rule to a field with SEBLOD, but they could use a fake email address if there is no registration process.
Once you have a valid user and email you could design it so that you must log in to activate the download page.
