Hello,

I have to import 3000 users from an old joomla site to an new one (with seblod, of course).

I use Seblod importer, but the encrypted password from the old site is modified as I import, both  if I choose Cancel (Effacer) ou MD5.

I just want the original encrypted password to be import as new password, without sending mail. Am I obliged to use mySql query without seblod importer for that ?

Thanks

Hello Hableur,

You can do that with seblod importer. I export all my users and import one for testing, it's work. I keep my old password.

You can choose for the setting of the field password two options:

Clear: You write your password in your csv file and after it will be convert in md5 format (new password)

MD5: You keep the original password of the user. (So in your csv file you have to put the md5 password who are in the table user)

So for me the encrypted password is not modified when i choose md5 option.

Strange it's change for you...

Try to put the field 'Force UTF8' to NO pearhaps

I use the last:

Thanks Julien for your explanations. It works fine with  MD5, with UTF8 to yes or not. No idea why my tests with md5 or not doesn't work yesterday, yet I repeated them several times ? Some confusion and tiredness probably. But now, on the base of your explanation, it's ok :).

nb : I think it would be good to transalte 'clear' by ' mdp en clair' instead of 'Effacer', et 'md5' en 'mdp en md 5' in the frenche translation, it would be more easy to understand.
