I'm trying to build an application, which makes it possible to add an article into a special category (frontend).

I think this is a bug and needs to be fixed. Isn't it?

Hello Milaim,
to prevent the modification in the source code, add your hidden field in the "Hidden" Position with the "Hidden" variation.
With that, you must have an error when the value is changed.

this is exactly what i've done. Still can change the input value, don't get any error messages and the new article moves to category 1 without a problem.
