Hi,

I'm completely new to Seblod - so hope I didn't post to the wrong place or something. If so, please direct me.

Anyway, I've been (sort of; I'm trying to build a book tip thing, linking on the cover) following along this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmnnjJiM9go. Didn't find the quick link to add to the menu, but added the search list manually afterward.

My problem: The records I am creating using the application are displaying correctly on the backend (when opening them in Content) but when I try to open them from the frontend menu, I only get the record title, not the whole record displayed.

What can I be doing wrong?

Hi

Do you have the relevant fields in your ‘view’ ie

List & Search Type -> List View, or Item View (depending on template you use)

Form & Content Type -> Content View

which view are you referring to?

OK, so I added the fields to the view and that kind of solved the problem. (Thanks). The result however, wasn't really what I was looking for so I change the template to list and added cover and summary. This presents my books with cover and summary in list form ... So I want to link from this by clicking on the cover (say) and present the entire article. I managed to add a link (I believe) but when clicking on the cover image I again get the article with its title, but no more content. Where do I add the remaining fields to the single article which I am linking to? Or am I doing something wrong again?

I'm officially stuck - again.

You need to add fields to the target content type's content view the same as you added fields to the search type. I sugegst you read Manuals section of this site to get basic concepts of Seblod cleared out.

Thanks for the reply. At least in the parts I had looked at it didn't explicitly say that what was loaded when I clicked a link. Now I've fixed the problem.
