SITUATION:

J3.3 and S3.3.5

I have installed the Seblod Exporter

Created a Session

Added an Export button and attached the session for this field in my List and Search Type

QUESTION:

Are special permissions required so that Editors could export the list?

For some reason I am getting, "An error occurred" message when logged in as anything but a Super User and oddly the first Administrator I created.

e.g. I elevated a test user to Administrator and still get this same error

I also tested this for users created as both "normal Joomla User" and a "Seblod content" user ... same error message

Hi cubist,

There shouldn't be any required permissions.  As shown on the demo, you dont need to be logged in to download the file.  Is the error occurring when you browse to the search type or when you click on the download button.  Have you verified the rights on the forms and the buttons?

regards,

Randy

Yes, the error occurs when Export is clicked. All buttons are PUBLIC. Menu item permissions are SPECIAL. Of course, I'm logged in to even to see it. It works for the Super User only. Thx

Tried replacing the Export button same error.

I can confirm that the actual download of the export is ONLY allowed for super users.

Hi cubist,

I think your problem is caused by the fact that the user you use have no "export" permission.

For example, if you would like to export "Article", click on Article content type.

Then click on the arrow in bottom right.

Finally, click on button "Permissions".

Mehdi
