Will Seblod ever work with Joomla native cache?

The discussions below are over a year old and Klas mentions possible pull requests for fixes but i just updated to the latest version and see that Klas's cache fixes aren't in it. Sadly I don't think they work either for complex content types / templates that might render modules.

I guess the answer might be one of the options below - please select your favourite - mine is 6

  1. "no"
  2. "who uses cache anyway?"
  3. "eh?"
  4. "we're too busy to address"
  5. "its joomla's core not SEBLOD"
  6. "did you see that cat video?"

I use

extensions.joomla.org/extension/cachecontrol

You can enable Joomla cache and where you have issues with cache on some pages you can disable it selectively with this extension.

Hi,

Fixed on https://github.com/Octopoos/SEBLOD/pull/30/files

Information on https://www.seblod.com/resources/tracker/13082

Would be included in next release.

Comment: before enable a cache system, please sure to have optimize code/feature on your website. In Octopoos we never used the joomla cache system even if it's about huge website.

Thanks

I'm experiencing strange issue today. Sometimes my list page returned a blank page sometimes it's not. When I disabled joomla cache, then everything becomes normal. Is seblod really compatible with joomla cache enabled?

In Octopoos we never used the joomla cache system even if it's about huge website.

Is there any reason for this? Does seblod have its own cache system?

Blank pages indicate some kind of fatal error, it could be your scripts are running out of memmory or something similar, in any case you need to enable error reporting in Joomla and/or look at error log in you hosting.

Hi Klas, Sorry for not explaining things clear enough. When I said blank, I meant it returned no item. Please see this screenshot below to see what I mean :

This is the page without cache is enabled :

and this is the page with cache enabled (not always, just sometimes) :

When I inspected the element in the browser, I found it just a html / css issue so I assumed this is a cache issue, so then I cleared the joomla cache. But It didn't solve the problem until I disabled the joomla cache.

Anyway, sorry for bumping up old thread

Hi,

to be able to help you, you first need find out when does this happen, is this a particular search or item or what is the cause that triggers this.
