I have been watching SEBLOD with interest for sometime and now have need of it. I have just finished watching Sebastians jab13 presentation - I wished I had gone - and been looking at this the main SEBLOD site products. So here is some feedback for you that may be of interest.
Having seen how powerful a solution SEBLOD is for building specific client solutions it would seem to eliminate the Joomla site builder/developers constant struggle with having extensions that do only 90 % of what you want. That last 10% can ruin a projects profit and delivery time and cause untold pain. Been there done that.
So, after watching the SEBLOD jab13 presentation , SEBLOD seems to me to be for the more serious business solution that requires planning and tailored solutions - this would fit with larger business clients with bespoke needs, and certainly that seems to be who Octopoos work with (eg General Electric). So SEBLOD would naturally be a good fit for experienced builders/developers to work with, and therefore have bigger client budgets..
So why the piecemeal approach in products? If i want to build serious web apps I dont want to hunt and pay for a 5 euro plugin. I probably want all of them or a bundle of them to make a full suite. In which case I would love to see a developers membership option where we can get everything in one package. I am struggling to know what I need so reading thru each plugin is definitely useful but I'd rather have an everything option to grab the lot:)
Also I dont understand the meaning of 'typo' as used . In english this is an abbreviation for a misspelt word, or shorthand for typography. SO what exactly does it mean here?

True. We organized a web project workflow around SEBLOD starting on conception until support. It's reduce time production and maintenance and project conception. It's more efficient for full custom needs by opening bigger projects.

Yes. More technology possibilities, more efficient, bigger projects. But more responsibility.

Yes. First, we wished to keep a full community spirit. It means that what Octopoos can propose on seblod.com another vendor can do the same. We started by the "products" store with multi-vendors feature. Anybody will be able to open its own store. Today it's the case with Simon's store:

The system splits automatically in live the amount of the transaction between the vendor 70% and SEBLOD project 30%. It's use Paypal transaction split features. The vendor is payed directly during the transaction.
The 2nd reason is that not everyone want to pay for a subscription. Some guys want to pay for something they need.... only for the plug-in or template they actually need for their project, nothing more. In this way, they have the choice.
The second step about SEBLOD e-commerce features is a subscription/membership system. So yes, we may launch an Octopoos club later this year... but this offer is yet to be defined: it may or may not include all the products, it may or may not focus on some kind of products or target of users...

The "Typography" is used to apply a style on a field value when the content is displayed. Exemple apply the header typo for H1, H2, H3; date typo on a "calendar" field to transform the date value in a nice calendar icon, HTML typography to add any html code quickly around a field value, file typography to transform a file path (type: PDF, doc, xls..) from an upload file field in a nice download button with file type icon or not..

Is this not a function of template overrides/css rather than db calls and plugins? I am looking forward to seeing how much trouble i can get into with SEBLOD
