Is it just me, or does a SEBLOD article not support the tabbed layout
as the standard Joomla! articles do (fields and options are organized in tabs)?
All fields are displayed in a column to the right,
even after updating to the latest version.

In the SEBLOD manuals, screenshots show a tabbed view ...

Hi Foto Vi,

I'm not sure which example you are referring to but Tabs are supported. There is a tab template available. Here is a video on how to set them up in a content type.

Hope that helps,

Randy

Thank you, Octopos - Randy
What I meant was the field groups in the backend, in the article creation form.
I have found out that the screenshot in the tutorial I saw, was mistakingly showing the standard Joomla! article creation form.
Seblod article creation forms seem to NOT support the tabs.

Hi Foto Vi,

Which version of SEBLOD are you using? You should be able to edit the Article Content Type in the SEBLOD Form & Content Type Manager and add the tabs as shown in the video. I was just able to do this - works great!

Hope that helps,

Randy

This is the image I am referring to:
http://www.seblod.com/images/medias/281/_thumb4/edit-article-form.png

It's the third image in this manual:
http://www.seblod.com/resources/manuals/getting-started/editing-a-joomla-article

It shows the tabbed fields in the article creation form,
the SEBLOD form however looks like this (to tabs):

It's the first image in this manual:

It was my error.
The standard SEBLOD article creation forms are not tabbed out of the box.

Question: are they going to be?

Personally, I wouldn't like to see the forms tabbed by default.

It depends very much on the use case and on personal preference.

If you want to have them tabbed you are free to do so with the tab template (which is a great feature).

Hi!

I agree the tabbed layout is very nice!

What I have always done in the past is have a "Joomla Template website" setup. What I mean by that is set up a Joomla site, with all of the key extensions that you use on almost every site (SEBLOD, Backup, Editor, Newsletter, etc). Using SEBLOD, set up the "Contact Us" Form, Article layout, Testimonials and all other forms that you might use. Then when you go to build a site you just restore your backup and all of your predefined settings will be in place! Of course then you can use the SEBLOD apps to customize it further!

One idea anyway...
