I just noticed that the tabs doesn't work with all templates - not even all Joomla "native" templates.

I wanted the tabs to be used with a Gavick template and couldn't get them to work in frontend. Tried changing to "Beez3" - same again. But it worked with "Protostar"...

Anyone have a solution for this?

(Joomla 3.1.5 & Seblod 3.1.5)

They don't work in all templates. You are correct.  To fix it would require you to add the CSS from the templates that do work to the ones that don't.

You will need a developer plugin for your browser and find the CSS that works. Then copy it over to your desired template.

Tabs only work with Bootstrap, you can add the specific JS Bootstrap tabs and add only the piece of code responsible for CSS styling tabs. http://getbootstrap.com/2.3.2

Hey guys, I'm resurrecting an older thread rather than opening a new one. I can't make the Seblod tabs work in the "Site" (front end form) view on AfterBurner2 template by RocketTheme. I have added the Bootstrap CSS classes for tabs and it also looks like bootstrap.min.js is loading on the page. There is one JS error related to the HTML editor but I get the same results w/ no editor (and no JS errors on the page).

Any thoughts on what I might check on? Thanks much, P

Hi P,

Have you tried this form on the default protostar template?  If it works, then this question might be better addressed by RocketTheme.   If your project is on Joomla 3.0, then the bootstrap framework is already included.  The SEBLOD tabs are taking advantage of the the existing framework.  Do you know if RocketTheme has their own tabs class?   Are there any options in the template to allow you to turn functionality on/off?

regards,

Randy

Hey Randy, you're absolutely right that it's template-specific (sorry if I wasn't clear in my post). I was just hoping the Seblod community would share ideas as I'd imagine there are others with a multitude of templates where these don't work. The template is calling all the same javascript files and I added the CSS classes so I was just surprised it's working in all other templates (even the bare bones Gantry template) RT makes but not the Afterburner2.
I will absolutely post on RT's forums and will report out here. And yes, this is on Joomla 3. Thx, P
