Can someone please explain to me the difference between a Form's "Intro" template and a list & Search "Item" template?
As far as I can see they are both for the styling of individual items in a blog layout. If that is the case, which is most important?

If you select no template for List layout, the Intro layout will be used to display search results. If on the other hand you select one of the available templates, Item layout let you select fields for display in the results.
Intro layout (Content type) is for use with Articles blog menu types, and List&Search (search) for Seblod List menu types.

Thanks Webcastor, it still sounds a little confusing but now I have a point of reference to read over and over until it clicks. 80)

I assumed you are more familiar with Seblod.

Anyway, this is what gives: Seblod is a CCK that is overlayed on top of Joomla. With it you practically extend what Joomla! gives. What this means is that you use the standard Joomla menu items (Article blog, Article categories and so on) for the navigation on your site.

That means you can use this table to understand where to put your hands:
Joomla menu Seblod content type / Layout
Articles > Single Article Article / Content
Articles > List All Categories Category / Intro
Articles > Category Blog Article / Intro
SEBLOD > Form (any content type) / Site Form
SEBLOD > List&Search (any search type) / Search Form for the search criteria and List for the search results.

In case you do not specify the List template, Item layout will not be available, and Intro layout from the searched content will be used instead to display search results. Item layout is used to set fields that will be displayed in search results. However, you might just go with content Intro layout, since SEBLOD will allow you to search multiple content types, and in that case you you are better off with content intro layout. Also, that way you do not need to do both layouts.

However, you should concentrate on content and first define content types, various layouts (Admin Form, Site Form, Intro, Content), and build the menu infrastructure.
