update seblod 2.3.6 with joomla 2.5.8

Hi all !!!

It's been a long time since I have wrote something in this forum !!!

But here I'm !

Question : I want to update seblod but everytime I try,  I've got a blank page or some sql error. (playing with error_reporting.php)

Here what I have done

1 - Update my joomla 2.5 to 3.8 (ok) and then update seblod to 3.13 >> error

2 - Update my joomla 2.5 to 3.6 (ok) then update seblod to 3.13 >> error

3 - Update seblod to 3.13 with joomla 2.5 >> error

exemple of error : 
- Fatal error: Call to undefined method JAdministrator::isClient() in C:\wamp\www\prod\cesarcesar\www\app\plugins\system\cck\cck.php on line
- Deprecated: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in .................. on line 660

- Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter.....

and also everytime I restart an update the error are not the same....

Please I need some help, i've been on this for days and now I realy don't what to do....

Last version that works with Joomla 2.5 is 3.8.4, so try updating to that version on joomla 2.5. first, then update joomla to 3.8., then Seblod to 3.15. I would say first step - updating to seblod 3.x will be the hardest, if it doesn't work you should try updating in smaller steps.

Hi, 

Still have a problem to update my joomla/seblod website.

For the moment I have done

joomla 2.5.4 to 2.5.8 ok

seblod 2.3.6 to 3.8.4 ok

I have try to update joomla to 3.0.0 or 3.1.1 but the website crash with a stange error (cf picture)

Do you have and idea of the problem?

jooomla update problems are not related to seblod https://docs.joomla.org/Joomla_2.5_to_3.x_Step_by_Step_Migration

Hi Klas!

Thanks for the link.

I 've follow the instruction, the automatic "one button" update didn't work so I had to do the update manually to joomla 3.0.0.

I have this error for the administration : 

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JAdministrator::getBody() in C:\wamp\www\prod\cesarcesar\www\app\plugins\system\cck\cck.php on line 635


An idea?

I would try renaming the folder of this systems plugin temporary, so you can update joomla further

Thanks for your advice!

It's done !! It was a real nightmare to migrate to the last version of joomla & seblod but now it's done!

I even bought the export plugin but to difficult to make it work with a complete new installation

I have done so many test that I really don't know excaltly how I have done this migration!! ;-)

I just migrate step by step joomla :

1 : Joomla 2.5.4 to 2.5.28 & the seblod 2.6.3  to 3.8.4

2 : Joomla 2.5.28 to 3.27 to 3.4 (one button update ) & seblod 3.9

3 : Joomla 3.4 to 3.5 to 3.6 to 3.7 to 3.7.5 (manual update) & seblod 3.9 to 3.10 to 3.11 etc... to 3.15

4 : Joomla 3.7.5 to 3.8.1 with an error that I solve by using this piece of code :  https://gist.github.com/mbabker/d7bfb4e1e2fbc6b7815a733607f89281
