I can understand the SEBLOD team that they want to use their fabulous extension for creating a forum on their site.

But still it would be great if they could give us some more functionality in the forum. Especially uploading and attaching images would be much appreciated.

In the tracker you can do this. Why not in the forum?

To solve the time problem, maybe someone could develop a time extension plugin for the universe ;-)
