I wish to be able to to two things:
* fix the width of a column in the list; and
* add a button or icon to each line which allows the user to click on it and edit all fields in the form, not just those in the list.

hello,
do you have a screenshot of your list ?
For edit your list have you something like that ? in step 2 (picture 1).
look also in the menu that opens your list, in the tab "override" if your fields are hidden or not. (picture 2)
