I'm sorry but it is not clear from your description what are you trying to do and what does not work, there is no "put formatting to edit", also there is difference between puting link on text or creating a button..so please explain with more details and perhaps attach some screenshot of your configurations.

What is not clear is how you created those buttons from first picture.
created a field of text free type and configuration 2 put it as a link to view the item and within the editor added that:
<button class="">texto</button>
You should use one of the Button fields, not free text. If you use boostrap powered template you could just add .btn class to the link (click on + net to the link setting ) as well.
