Hi

I'm using 'Lists & Search Types' to try and replicate the Joomla 'Latest News' module. ie a list of the latest 3 articles in the category 'news'. I've created the 'Lists & Search Type', added items to it and successfully listed these using the SEBLOD List module. However, when the module is published it affects the blog layout on the main page. I'm using the blog template in the 'Lists & Search Type' which is trying to produce a blog in the module which but I don't need a blog layout I simply need a list comprising of a linked title and intro text.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to do this?

Many thanks

Hello @bigrich66,

you had use the good way to do that.

You can use 3 lists templates for to archieve this function:

  • Seb_blog: in the template configuration simply use the first block (top) with only 1 column, and in the item view, just put the title field (with the link - option 2) and the intro field.
  • Seb_table : put only the 2 field in the column A
  • Seb_list : put only the 2 field in the List position

In the order tab of the search list, put the field "created" to get the most recents

Then in the module list configuration, set only for 3 articles.

Hope it will help you.

Regards.

Hi, Thanks

I finally settled on using the table template to produce the module which now looks right but the title link is not quite working.

For example from the home page the url looks as follows which is correct and gets to the SEBLOD full text article

http://192.168.16.123/dev/?id=80:news-3

But as soon as I navigate to another page the urls are being injected with additional text from the associated page as you can see from the 3 examples below all on 3 different pages.

All the links above bring up 500 page not found. The link should remain the top correct example in every case.

Hi

Having looked through other posts I solved this by going into SEBLOD Options ‘Site’ tab and changing the SEF from default to ‘Use Native’

Cheers
