Problem - list in content article view is not showing any data since upgrading to 3.16.3 and Joomla 3.8.12
The list is meant to get its category id dynamically from the content article field 'List help items from' via live field value.
Since upgrade no output is shown.
If you look at the list settings button two live field configuration, these settings have not changed from before upgrade. The output is from an override position which gets as far as outputting the 'cck_module_list' div wrapper - but there is no data.
You need to upgrade the list field to the last version, the same with other additional plugins you might have installed.

not sure how exactly is this supposed to work, don't really understand your first image.
What you need to do is to pass a value from content to the list using Fields option like it is shown in the tutorial - tutorial is about list in list, but list in content works in the same way.
