Hello everyone,

I'm setting up two different websites in the same Joomla installation, and that's why I came to Seblod at first.

For the two different web sites I'd like to manage two different templates. So, I loaded two free Shape5 templates, and assigned each of them to each web site setting template style option in Construction->Sites->(websitename)->Template Style option.

What happens is that if I leave the settings that way no one of the template, and thus the associated web site, works correctly; whether I set or unset options in template manager they don't have effect.

Otherwise, if I leave Construction->Sites->(websitename)->Template Style option set to default, then the template which is defaulted in turn works the right way.

To workaround this problem I can use the same template for both websites, which I wouldn't do if possibile in order to give the two websites a completely different look.

Does any of you have any idea on how to solve this?

Thank you very much

Hi,

have you tried using one of default joomla templates? It is possible shape framework is not compatible with multisites.

Hi,

Thank you for having answered me!

If you don't think it might be a Seblod bug, would you please suggest me some more templates that you are sure works fine with Seblod?

I need something with more options than default joomla templates.

Thank you

Hi,

first try if it works with default joomla templates so you will know if error comes from vertex.

Hi,

Done! Yes, it works fine with Joomla standard template, such as protostar and beez3....

Might it be some overlaying javascripts? What kind of investigation can I do to help?

If the template author says "Our templates are designed to work within the core functions of Joomla." how can I discover whether a template is reaaly compatible with Seblod?

Thank you

Hi,

usually template providers have some free template, I suggest you try that first, problem with some frameworks this template providers use is that they replace some core joomla functions (they should not do that but they still do), mostly as they wish to be able  to use same framework on wordpress .

Hi,

Both Shape5 templates I'm trying are free, as I said in the topic.

Hi,

I tested few frameworks/templates and T3 based purity III from JoomlaArt seems to work ok with multisite feature, so I rpesume also other tempaltes  based on t3 should be ok.

Hi,

Okey, I'll take a look to these templates, though I've already tried Purity III before, without Seblod, and I didn't manage to make it perform its best.

Have you been able to replicate the problem with Vertex framework?

Thank you

Hi,

unfortunately this feature is not working with some template providers like Shape5 or Youtheme. Unfortunatelly we cannot do anything about it and we advise you to use one of those who do work - Gawick, Joomlashack or JoomlaArt.

Bonjour,

For information, after small investigation, the template of the site Seblod comes from yootheme.com (warp 7, Master 2)
